The Villages is an amazing active adult community located just North of Orlando. In many respects there are so many features and amenities we felt it was worth compiling some of these facts in one list. Enjoy!
1) Population of The Villages is currently over 81,000 (The population crossed 81,000 in September 2010)
2) Current number of rooftops is over 42,000 and rapidly approaching 55,000
3) New home sales continue at approximately 200 per month
4) Re-sales are currently averaging 100 per month
5) In the 1st quarter of 2011 543 new homes were sold
6) New home sales in the 1st quarter of 2011 were up 7% over the prior year
7) 1st quarter 2011 pre-owned (re-sales) home sales were up 10% over the prior year
8 ) When The Villages opened up home sales South of 466A – 55 homes sold in 1st eight days
9) There are roughly 67 Villages
10) Villages range in size from 100 homes to 1550 homes (Duval is the largest with 1550)
11) The Villages property area covers 32 square miles
12) There are approximately 90 miles of golf cart paths
13) The Villages occupies parts of 3 counties in Florida (Lake, Sumter & Marion)
