Comcast Channel 2 on Saturday and it usually runs multiple times during the day. He spoke for about an hour tonight at the Savannah Center.

Here are some notes I wrote down during Mark Morse's presentation:

As of April 1, 2013 there are 48,424 homes in TV and 94,807 residents.

Sales
2011 sales: 2,271 new; 1,398 pre-owned
2012 sales: 2,790 new; 1,685 pre-owned
April 2013: 318 new; 207 pre-owned
Comparison to April 2012: 230 new; 155 pre-owned

Ave. price of both new and pre-owned up about 10%

In April 2013, TV had the most transactions ever - even greater than during the 2006 boom period.

At this pace, build-out is expected to occur in the first quarter of 2016. Population will be about 110,000, and TV will probably be the 14th largest population center in Florida.

Charter School
96% re-enrollment
Approx. 2,700 students
The current addition under construction is the seventh addition in 15 years.
99.8% graduation rate
90% college attendance rate
22 varsity sports
8,000 annual volunteer hours from Villages residents
49,000 annual hours of parent involvement
19,000 annual hours of volunteer work by students in the community

Gave Recreation Dept. stats - I didn't record any.

Gave retail stats - I didn't record any.

The Church on the Square will be expanded. Will close in August 2013 for about a year. The newspaper article is better than my notes.

Covered TV hospital expansion - the newspaper article is better than my notes.

Covered TV medical initiative - the newspaper article is better than my notes.

Closing comments
Beginning the sunsetting of building news homes. Feeling elation as well as melancholy. Feeling satisfaction seeing the use of TV facilities by TV residents.

The family is here to stay. Contrary to any rumors, such as Texas rumor.

The Charter School was a major initiative and it was done with obvious success. Now birthing a new health business. Will do the medical delivery system with the same success.

champion6, Thank you for posting your notes for the TV wannabees and the TV gonnabees. Interesting...buildout is expected in the first quarter of 2016. That means 3 years from now, estimated 110,000 residents.

Did anyone besides Mark Morse speak?
The current VHA president opened the meeting by honoring the retiring secretary for her service. Then he introduced Morse. The meeting ended after Morse's presentation.
