Very sorry to hear this news.
I had corresponded with Island Girl on a number of occasions via PM prior to moving to TV and always found her helpful and cheerful.
May she rest in peace.

Oh BK. She asked if anyone could take her to the doctors a couple of weeks ago and I responded and didn't hear back.
I am so sad. She was a delightful and spirited lady who always was so warm and fun.
God give her peace.

I was so sorry to hear today of her passing. She certainly was a very beautiful woman inside and out. A very loving, gentle person and its sad to hear her fight was so fierce at the end.
RIP WiWi... you were one of the original TOTV'ers who helped us start the monthly luncheons and be one of the original posters that made this great forum. It was great to know you and to be your friend. I will miss you a lot!!!
Admins: Could you please change Wiwi and/or islandgal's title to Eternal Member. Thank you.

She was a such a special person -- kind, warm, funny. She loved the ocean and Hilton Head and I'm glad she's going back there. BJ, may you rest in peace and know that those you've left behind will have nothing but fond memories of you.

I am sorry to hear this......I only knew her online here, but enjoyed her posts. Years ago I suggested the "Eternal Member" status, I hope the good administrators here can still do that. May she rest in peace. Every time I read of someone passing I am reminded of how blessed we are.

Sad news...I never had the chance to meet her in person but she was so kind to me in private msg when I first starting asking questions about TV years ago. I could tell immediately she had a sweet, kind spirit. May she rest in peace!

Thanks to BKCunningham who was involved with Wiwi in her final weeks.
Tal, I am shocked to hear that Schotzyb passed. I'm glad you posted this. I used to talk to him all the time at Doggie Doo Run Run and in PMs. I knew he'd been having some health problems, but I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
Another Eternal Member, so sad. I guess as we grow older we can expect to lose friends, including TOTV family. But it's sad and it hurts.

Seems like just yesterday I met WiWi. I will always remember her wonderful smile and laughter. I think she is in one of the Freeze episodes.
She was one of the original members here. Feel lucky to have known her. Rest in peace dear friend.
I agree with Kathie that she should have Eternal Member under her name.

I was saddened to hear of Wiwi's passing. She was one of the nicest ladies I knew.
Many of us here on TOTV participated in a few "Freezes" at the Squares. Wiwi was always there and here are 3 videos with her in them. I've notated the approximate times she appears in each video. You'll recognize many TOTV faces. Those were the best times!
The Villages FREEZE - YouTube
Timer at 0:40 blue colorful top and blue slacks, 1:38 and 1:47 close up holding water bottle
America's Friendliest Home Town - The Villages - The Freeze II - YouTube
Timer at 0:20 wearing black and white top, 1:39 close up, 3:05, 3:10
The Villages Freeze 2009 - YouTube
Timer at 0.33, 2:01, 2:27, 2:37

Thanks for posting this. Some of us cannot see this without someone quoting it. Graciegirl and I were think along the same lines. I did not do any of the freezes but have been at some of the Friday monthly Crispers get togethers. I seem to recall meeting IslandGal at one of these but am not sure of this.

Tal, I think it was Feb. '09 because that's where I found the picture of her in post #1. I think you were there also because I saw you in the crowd.

I just wanted to let all of you know that the last time I spoke to BJ (island gal aka WiWi) she was leaving the Villages Hospital and being moved to hospice. I took some liberties and stretched the truth and told her that everyone on TOTV was asking about her.
It made her very happy. She said she wished she had her computer with her so she could read what everyone was saying. I said Gracie, KathieI, barefoot and many, many others were saying nice things and everyone wanted her to get well and they missed her posting.
I know you are suppose to always tell the truth. I sort of lied. But in this case, I think it was okay. I know she would be very happy with all the beautiful things everyone is saying about her.
I wish I had gotten to know her better. She touched my heart.

I didn't know Wiwi well, but we were a small TOTV group in the early days .. 2007. Brightspot posted some pictures of The Freeze which was so much fun. So I would be at a lot of the same functions as Wiwi, and we occasionally played mahjongg together. She was a warm and classy lady.
BK, you are a very kind person, and I'm glad you were able to make Wiwi feel a bit better to know we were all thinking of her. And it really wasn't stretching the truth, I had many friends who used to be frequent posters asking about her and hoping for the best.
Wiwi and I both used to often be up during the wee hours of the morning. When I logged on to TOTV, I would always look to see if she was also on, and I felt a connection to her. Wiwi, rest in peace.
