We are closing on our home in June and will be in The Villages on the 4th of July for the first time. Are there any special activities/festivals/celebrations that will be happening on the 4th? Thanks!

yes, there are always festivities in the squares. No fireworks here, but Leesburg has them.

Sadly, there aren't many (that is, any) special events for the Fourth!

It's not so much an awareness of difficulties with fireworks as it is an awareness of residents and their status.

Over the years, I've become convinced that the potential for damage from wayward fireworks dictates whether there will be any kind of event!

An ideal venue for fireworks has always been Lake Sumter. However, it is inevitably dry in early July and, thus, somewhat dangerous!

I am convinced that you will not find your "favorite" event here in TV, but you will somehow find an acceptable replacement!
