55 days is required time frame weather is of no concern to these people.
We very recently were quoted 60-64 days from date of start of construction. I assume that was in a neighborhood that they were ready to begin building in. If you bought a lot in an area that has not begun with slabs, I believe it would be longer. We are building a Lantana and our design meeting was on April 5-8. I believe they began construction about April 25th or so. Our closing date is June 21st.

we are in village of Pinellas -- on Yearling - bought the lot - our design meeting is end of July -- they said they could start construction in about 10 days of our signing - I was told by someone 90 to 120 days -- that is really a wide range - hopefully can tie it down a little more after design meeting - we are planing on coming down to watch it go up but need to have more finite dates for rental purposes..
and yes there are a quite a few complete homes there- we are on corner of yearling and Apache court. fell in love with TV last Dec when were we down there. Ready to get out of rat race here we are in Alexandria, Va across river from DC. thanks to all that replied it is appreciated

Probably more likely around 60 - 70 days. 55 is possible, and it can take longer than 70, but they just built a Lily across the street from us in about 60 days.
If you haven't figured out your rental plans already, let me know. We have a 3 br villa for rent just across from Lake Sumter Landing.

I have a Lily with golf cart garage, my build started September 11th and I closed November 27th. They initially had my close date out to first week of December but were able to move it in to the 27th. Was told concrete block, with golf cart garage, 2,000 sq ft would be at least 75 days.

You will receive your closing date after you complete the design process. It took longer to schedule a design appointment than for them to build our home. You can always ask to be placed on a cancellation call list to be notified if an earlier design appointment should open up. Best of luck to you!

this is very similar to ours - a golf cart garage add on to a lilly with a four ft stretch on garage.. thank you for this info - appreciated

now this is good info -- thank you -- this should be a lot more accurate. and can figure my rental time down there more accurately. no we have a design date at end of July which is fine for us - wife is finishing out her career so that will give her the time she wants before her retirement. and then sell our home here which should move very fast

We built a Lily with a 3rd car garage instead of golf cart garage and added a 9x18 birdcage on the side by the garage. Build from dirt began on 2/13 and we closed on 4/11. Our house is block and stucco.

that is very similar to what we want minus the birdcage -- thank you for timeframe - these give me some idea now. can't wait to get down there.

69 days from the end of your design meeting. Our meeting was 4/30, we closed 7/9; the house was complete 7/2. Good luck.

Two years ago we were told our Lily would take 90 days. It was finished in just over 60 days. If we had wanted to move in early we had to pay additional money. As we were in a rental, we decided to wait it out.

Boy oh boy, so much for the endless rumors that 1) everything being sold now is pre-built and 2) no more customization.
Congratulations on your new home! I know how anxious we were while we were waiting for our Lilac to be built! You're going to love it here!

Congratulations. We wil close on our Lily on Yearling Way on 5/24 so you are dealing with current info. We took 3 days on design 3-11 to 3-13 and signed on the 14th. Was informed that closing would be 5/24. On 3-18 we left the villages and said goodbye to a pile of dirt. On May 6th we received our last set of pictures of our completed home! Our Lily is block and stucco. If you can...bump out whatever is possible in regard to the property lines. Once it's built it would be rediculous to try it later. As for a birdcage you can always add this later (Just make sure you specify no utilities in the area you may want the birdcage) A birdcage will just add to your property taxes immediately. We will snowbird for a few years so a birdcage will come later. Also, even if you don't want the cost of an outdoor kitchen on the lanai....they can plumb it for you to complete later.
