Nobody seems to be concerned about stairs effect on the fire rating of the garage ceiling. I think it's worth asking the question.

Save your money! We went to Lowe's and purchase the most expensive unit (for safety and ease of use). Got a buddy and threw it up in a couple hours. The hole is already in place. Easy job!

I just had my attic stairs installed today by Tim the Tool man. He also redid my master closet shelving adding another row of shelves and hanging space.

I just had Home Depot arrange installation of aan alluminium stairway, which was handled quickly and efficiently. The price was competitve with Lowes and what other you hire contractors would charge. I am very satisfied.
