Does anyone here know of a person(s) who does custom TV cabinetry/entertainment center work for others? We're considering a project.

Try the Villages Woodworking Shop on Rolling Acers Rd. They make custom pieces or you can make your own.

If you have any handiness, its not too difficult to build your own very nice entertainment center. If you can build a bookshelf, just learn how to add fancy moldings, and before you know it you can have a lovely entertainment center. I'm going to be a FROG come July and I expect to utilize the great woodworking shop in TV for a number of my own planned projects. In the past I have not had access to fancy woodworking equipment, and I expect that I will run into while I'm there a lot of people whose skill far exceeds my own. If you can wait until late July, look me up and I will be happy to bring you along with me.

Please send me (via PM) your email and I will send you pics of an entertainment center we had built. We have a Lantana and the entertainment center is wall to wall (147 inches wide by 100 inches high) and can hold up to a 60' LCD. We have ours painted to match the kitchen cabinets but you can get it stained if you so desire. Its 6 separate units (3 base and 3 hutch) with notched glass shelves in 2 of the hutch units and lights throughout. Center hutch has the TV and a shelf above. All finished in crown moulding. Base units provide plently of storage and the center base has smoked glass doors (you can get mesh) that allows the infrared signal from the remote to work.
