We are purchasing a home next week in Summerhill. Since I work at a small community bank out of state, we will be doing the loan through my employer and not closing in Florida. The seller lives in Michigan. (Lower rate and significant discount on fees.) We are having a hard time getting the title commitment from McLin Burnsed. Many messages left for them on voice mail and all calls returned after 5:00 pm Central Time when my bank is closed. McLin Burnsed is saying my bank needs to send the loan docs down to them and they will prepare the HUD-1 (Settlement statement) and overnight back to us to sign. Since we are closing here our closing agent prepares the HUD-1. Has anyone else had this experience? How do we get McLin Burnsed to be more helpful? Anyone else use a out of state bank? Who did your HUD-1? Thanks.
