Sorry - I don't get onto this site very often. The specialist in question is Dr. Shalesh Kaushal M.D., Ph.D., who is opening and managing the new Retina Specialty Institute office in TV in the Sharon Morse Building. The newspaper quoted as follows: "Regarded as one of the nation's foremost experts in retina care, the Chairman of the University of Massachusetts Ophthalmology Dept. left the University in deference to his family's desire to return to Gainesville where he previously practiced and served as Professor Ophthalmology at the U. of Florida Department of Vitreo-retinal Service and Director of Retina Service".

The newspaper article had much more information on his background, both education and work related.
