My friends! I had an awesome time with all of you tonight! So that we can stay in touch please post on this thread so we can plan some more ways to get together. I can't tell you how beautiful a feeling it was to share my home with such wonderful new friends.
Special thanks to Cha for the games, Gary for sharing his heart and tunes, and Charles for cleaning up, even if he did it just to get a swim in the pool...and because he's a fine gentleman.
If you haven't been here long enough to know, Monday night there's a dance band at Waterfront Inn. I'm thinking I'll go...
wow, tonight was the best thing that has happened to me since my mortgage came through.

Kitty, your home is beautiful. Thank you for including me in your party. I enjoyed meeting everyone & hope we can all get together again. We need to have everyone's email so we can plan parties, golf or whatever everyone likes. Give emma a hug for me.

Kitty, thank you for inviting me to your home it is beautiful and thank you for the opportunity to meet and mingle with the single village people.

I regret I had to leave before the end of the party but after the five minute rain went on and on and I remembered my windows were open I worried that I might now have lake property, inside. I do not usually mop floors before I go to bed but I did last night.

Ron, I didn't get to talk to you as much as I would have liked, but I did learn that you can make us laugh! I am sorry you missed geewiz' music, but what a shock to suddenly realize your windows are open in a downpour. At least you got the floors mopped!

She and Addie are about to go on the road and aren't on the computer, she asked me to tell you: it was wonderful to meet so many new people and to have such a congenial group...

They are going to Michigan for 2 weeks...I'll miss them.

Kitty & Emma....what a FUN night, with plenty of good food, conversation and new found friends all in the beautiful setting of your home overlooking the breath-taking swimming pool and serene view of the golf course and pond! Cha Cha, we enjoyed the game which gave us insight into ourselves. Ronnye and I got some good laughs off of the answers we both wrote down as well. The thunderstorm came up quickly and violently, so I had to leave before the concert to check on my dogs, which by then were hiding in the closet (at least they know where to go in case of a tornado...HA!)

Sincere thanks for hosting this meet-and-greet and opening your new home to all of us.

1. Charles is one of a kind. A dear kind kind...and obviously funny!

2. Enjoying Geewiz pour heart and soul into song. First public performance in 30 years. Bravo! Emma didn't mean to upstage him, but it was only natural for the sweet girl to use his venue for working the crowd.

Dearest Susan, come see me anytime, your energy is amazing, to bring your cooker appliances all full of yummy gumbo and work too?? How do you do it? And I am really a wannabe gardener so you are a sitting duck there at HD Garden Center!
A total pleasure to know you.

I didn't get to talk with everybody, but it was so nice meeting everyone. Just wanted you all to know the following: I am a member of the First Baptist Church of The Villages & go to the 11:00 sevice, the Curious Cuisiners club that meets the 3rd Tuesday at Seabreeze at 12:00 (bring a dish with 2 copies of your recipe), trying to be a vegan but their club meets at the same time as the Genealogical Society which meets at the Savannah center on the 4th Wednesday at 10:00 (they have over 800 members) and I am learning golf. I tell you all this so if anybody wants to join me at any of the events, send me a private message & we can go together. Sandra

a whole bottle of Bacardi gold
two bottles salad dressing

alternatively, if you can go to Waterfront Inn Monday pm let me know and I'll bring your stuff...

You can't have the cheesecake or the key lime pie... who me??

Laura also posted this sweet note as a pm, so I'll post a photo of the critters. The kitty was renamed "Raul" because he's a talker and kept saying,
"Rraulll, Rraull, Rraull".

kitty, Thank you for being the "hostess with the mostest" and hosting Saturday night's party. What a beautiful home you have. I loved seeing Emma and the kitty cat whose name I did not get. Take care, and finish setting up house so you can have fun in TV.

Regards,

Laura, A/K/A Schaumburger

Kitty,
We had such a wonderful time meeting everyone! Thank you so much for having us. My rental isn't nearly as spacious and grand but I would be willing to host the next one. I would like to keep the parties happening...but what is our new name?

kittygilchrist
05-21-2013, 12:26 PM
Check with KR on the name she likes. I'm goofy and like "Bowlfishers" but nevermind me, Fishbowl is probably less silly! You are pretty & sweet, I would be really happy to come to a get together at your place.
Just do it!
Kitty
