Don't worry. Your house will be fine.
I live in the village of Santiago. It has been sunny and hot all day.
Just started to drizzle about 15 minutes ago. A little bit of thunder off in the distance, but definitely nothing to worry about.

My wife called from Tampa - their bus is leaving the Hard Rock Casino and is in heavy rain.

Here it has been a steady rain for the past hour with some thunder a few miles away. Temp has dropped from 86 to 66 - nice.

I have never seen hail since I moved to Tampa.

Weather is now good in Tampa so your wife's trip should
now be fine.

I was so glad my husband was driving - it was scary

If you have a smart phone (or even on your tablet/computer), you might want to download myweather.com.

I'm a bit of a weather junkie and have found it to be the most up to date (within 5 minutes usually), when it comes to Doppler radar info.

Right now, it shows most of the ugly stuff to be north/east of us.

I went to check it out as I am having issues with weatherbug properly locating me via GPS. I found this on myweather.com home page.

TULSA, Oklahoma (Reuters) - A huge tornado flattened an area near Oklahoma City on Monday, leaving a wake of tangled wreckage, as a dangerous storm system threatened as many as 10 states.

At least two schools were in the path of the tornado, television reports said, and video showed homes destroyed, cars tossed and at least one building on fire.

The video coverage makes it look like an atomic bomb went off.....in the entire neighborhood. :(
