We have a neighbor living in a courtyard villa who has 4 cars in front of his villa. 2 are parked in driveway and 2 are parked on the road 24/7. Is this legal? It is causing people driving down the street to have impaired vision for incoming traffic as one has to go out into incoming traffic. Is this legal and if not how can he be legally made to park his car in guest parking? Please help someone.

Oh, that's irritating allright! Hope there is help for you. You might try calling community standards?

Here we go again with the DRAMA, knock on his door, tell him "Hey, you're making me NUTS, move some of these cars."

I would say to call the local police. His guests are impeding traffic.

Well Patty his neighbor did just that and e went ballistic quoting and taping covenants onto his windshields. So no drama just real life until someone gets seriously injured.
Call the fire department and ask if this is a problem. The cars will cause difficulty if fire fighting equipment is needed in the area. Villa roads are privately owned, correct? Not sure if that fact has some impact in this scenario.

Here's a link to a copy of your deed restrictions. The restrictions are different depending on where you live. Most VILLA restrictions state that vechicles must be in the garage or in the driveway.

It looks like you have a loopy neighbor. Loopyness scares me, they're so unpredictable/
How many people live there that they have 5 cars?

Bordello? Meth Lab? New Used Car Lot? 4 cars @ 1 residence?

Not to mention, it may be hard for the fire and ambulance trucks to get down the street in case of an emergency.......
People need to think about others

Don't forget one in the garage and they're there 24/7. I'm thinking they may be agoraphobic polygamists.

Call Community Watch and have them check it out over a couple of days and then they will advise these people that all cars must be off the street at night. Then they will either call police or call a tow truck if it continues.

we had the same problem in our patio villa neighborhood, but just one car on street. All of the streets in the villages that are in Sumter county are now owned by Sumter county. the county allows overnight street parking unless there is signage otherwise. If it is found to be a safety hazard they will put up signs, however, there will be a process to get them.
