The Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter always decorate their gate beautifully for the holidays. This memorial day they had large banners for each of the armed forces hanging at the entrance. Today I saw a sign at the gate asking for the return of the Air Force banner. Obviously someone took the banner. Unbelieveable!!

I agree. If they catch them they should cut their finger off before they put them in jail.

Where I come from in Iowa, that would be a reason for an authorized legal execution.

Amazing what a couple of posters want to do to a person that took a banner that stands for people who stood up for liberty! One wants to cut off their fingers and the other want to execute the person. Aren't both of those penalties what is being done to criminals in those parts of the world that hate America?

Who knows, maybe the wind blew the banner off the wall? Whatever the cause, it is wrong - even in hyperbole - to express views like the two above.

OK guys lighten, the posters' comments were just that... hyberbole....As for me I saw them do it I'd shoot them on the spot....................At least that is what I told my wife as we passed Bridgeport about 1PM:D

Saw what the neighborhood did to acknowledge Memorial Day---thought it was wonderful---also saw the note about returning their Air Force Banner----really don't think it could have blown off---it would not have gone far----all I felt was sadness that someone might possibly have taken the banner.

I drove by today (Thursday) and poster is still there. Although not an Air Force veteran, I am a veteran. I will gladly pay for a new banner. Please have the responsible neighborhood person PM me so we can set it up.

What a shame as I always looked forward to their patriotic display.

Not that anything about this "theft" is OK...but I'll bet it's hanging in some Kid's bedroom. I find it hard to believe any adult..much less a senior would take it.
