We are planning to bring our 6 year-old granddaughter to our home in TV during the week of July 14-20. Tried to enroll on Camp Villages activities but all the appropriate ones are sold out already. Any suggestions from you veterans?

The family pool and golf cart rides. Picnic at the playground; picnic at Lady Lake Park (by the library). The local petting zoo (forget the name, sorry). Boat rides, at LSL and other local excursions. Golf cart all the way to Mulberry Rec Center to pet the rooster (make sure they turn it on so it will crow) -- one of my grandson's favorite things to do. Golf cart over the 441 bridge.
And, of course, there's Disney, LegoLand and all the nearby attractions.

Call the First Baptist church on 466 in Lady Lake, they usually have summer day programs

1. See the manatees and other animals at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in the Crystal River area.
2. Mermaids show at Weeki Wachee, another state park.
3. A day at a gulf beach. White sands, warm water and small waves.
If you do either park be sure to time your visit to see the earlier feeding program for manatees or the mermaid show. The afternoon shows are sometimes canceled because of thunderstorms. Info is on their web sites.
