A Realtor here told me that the average Villager moves three times. I found that hard to believe ... until I did it myself! I was positive I was settled in for the long haul, but then a house across the street from my sister came on the market, and things changed.

Have you moved since you've been here and if so, what prompted the change? House too small, too large, neighborhood issues?

Once in 1st. Year. Started with bigger house to skip house 2 and 3.
Two neighbors did build across the street from their first house to be on the golf course

moved in once; have no desire to trade in our neighborhood for anything else. and a larger house means more stuff to get in our way. we like the simplicity of our 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car home. and packing and un-packing is a real pain in the ***!

Move here in 2001 and am still in the same abode. I have no desire to upgrade or downgrade.

5 times total in 5 years

owned courtyard villa, premier and designer

rented courtyard villa and designer

Why? - very, very long story.

I heard the same thing when we first moved here and wondered why on earth anyone would move 2-3 times while living here. Now I know and can sum it all up in one word "life"

We started in 2007 with a two bedroom CYV. Since we are only in TV six months a year, we thought a small CYV would do. But we didn't realize we'd be getting a lot of visitors! We moved in 2010 to a larger home (same Village) with a huge garage which accommodates Fireboy's hobby - the garage is full of E Flyers. In 2010, we actually moved twice, because we also sold our home in Canada and bought another one on a lake.

We love our home and our Village (Belevedere). But I think another move is a future possibility. I've always enjoyed the challenges of moving, renovating and redecorating.

You couldn't pay me to move. Too much work - I'd rather spend the time with my friends and keeping busy with all the activities here.

Wow that's a self-serving statement wonder how the realtor defines verage villager"? I don't trade my crs that often. In fact I drove my van for 11 years before I traded it in. I told the car dealer that this was my last car purchased he laughed until I cited mortality stats given my age and my past record of running my cars to the ground. I mean as an investment cars are a depleting asset:spoken:

So looks like about 1.67 times is the average for TOTV members who chose to answer. We're dragging down the totals!

Moved to Santiago May of 2000.
Closed on our 2nd home February of 2004 in BonnyBrook.
Larger home.

We were actually the 1st house built south of 466. The villas were built, but we were the first house built.
I'm done !

Bought designer in TG in Nov 2011. After ripping up carpet and installing tile, then landscaping, then tiling the lanai, then bricking the walkway, we figure we're too underwater to move! Plus we really like the house and neighborhood, and now that our MI condo is under contract (fingers crossed that buyer's loan comes through), granite countertops are next.

This is the fifth time we've packed up a home ourselves and orchestrated a move. While I don't find it that much of a hassle because of what we have to look forward to (froggery), I think this'll do it forever!

After hearing how often people move, I reached for the most house I could afford...I am single and in a new 3/2 stretched lantana with pool/hot tub/golf and water view and eastern rear exposure. I hope I never have to move again, I hate moving with a passion.
