While I do have acting experience (mostly in my childhood years), I made the transition to stage directing when I was 17 - everything from opera, to the classics, to full-scale musicals, to original productions, and truly adored it.
I have since moved on professionally to television/film writing and producing but the stage will always hold a special place in my heart. There's just something about that hands-on, in-person "feel" that a good production inspires as it draws the audience into a whole different world and then causes them to blink several times after the curtain goes down while they strive to remember where they actually are. I truly miss the magic of that moment and would love to find a theatre group at The Villages where I may be of service.
Does anyone need a hand?
