Accident near Odell Rec Center

Was driving on Odell late this morning (between 11 & 11:30 or so). At the drive-way going into the parking lot but still in the street were 2 firetrucks, one ambulance, one golf cart and two vehicles. Only one lane to get through and it was busy---so couldn't "rubber neck" to try to figure out what actually happened. Anyone on here know?? Just curious!

We were right behind the couple that were hit. The golf cart was crossing and a car came thru the gate and hit the cart. The cart flipped over. The gentleman in the car said he hit the gas instead of the brake. All parties were shook up. Thank God no one was seriously injured. The woman in the cart said this was there second day being here and they were renting. They are building a new home. I have never seen a golf cart accident before and hope to never see one again. Very scary ! Please be careful out there....

The scene I saw was at the drive-way going into the Odell Rec Center...is that what you meant rather than gate?? Either way...scarey as you said!!! It seems from reading the POA re: accidents it's usually because someone was "inattentive" for most of them.

When I was driving by...I saw a red sedan pulled to the side (about there the orange markings are now). The cart was in the center of the lane, also where there are orange markings! There was also an SUV (I think---hope I never have to act as a witness as I don't remember for sure) that was parked just above the drive-way into the parking lot. I'd wondered "if" that too had been involved or was a witness to the fact.
