We will be closing next month in Pennecamp are looking for some recommendations on what companies to use, or are they all the same? Any and all info appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to the Villages!

You will find that there are lots of opinions, less choice.

I have been happy with Comcast for TV and Internet... also have their phone, but don't need it , and rarely use it. Been here (S of 466A) since Dec 2012. Others have voiced displeasure with Comcast. I will say that i have had better results contacting them via Chat session from their website then on the phone. I have only had 2 issues, and one was my fault.

A Comcast technician recommended chat over phone support.

Go to the top of the page and hit 'Search', look for internet telephone. This same question has been asked every other week for a couple of years. You'll find lots of threads with a vast amount of information in a very short time.

We use Brighthouse for TV and internet South of 466A. No land line. Cell phone only. No problems. Like the fact we can shut it down when back up North.

We have Brighthouse for both tv and the internet - so far, great! And yes, having vacation mode has its benefits.

we just switched back to comcast after being with century link for only 9 months. found out it would be less expensive to pay the early termination fee, and bundle all three services together (internet/tv/phone) and get a visa gift card also, and the monthly rate would be less.
the downside: chose the 'self-install' option; impossible to do this ourselves, and wound up having their installation crew set it up. this took almost 2 1/2 weeks to get it done; but, did not have to pay for the installation services...so i guess it was ok.
and the HD and internet speed is far, far superior to any other services we have ever had anywhere. the tv pictures are so crisp, and the internet connections are fast and dependable. now i know why they are the biggest provider in the country. wish they were publicly held, would be a valuable stock to own.
