My friend from NYC is coming this weekend to see if TV is going to be her retirement place. I have several ideas of what is VERY TV to show her ,but always love to get your suggestions. Thanks

Our guests just love the golf cart drives all over and going to open houses. That is the number 1 thing they want to do. Sampling all the restaurants, a couple of rounds of golf if they are into that, people watching at the town squares, along with the entertainment. Enjoying the view of Sunset Part with a bottle of wine and some snacks at the end of the day.

Take her for lunch at the Lighthouse at Lake Sumter Landing.....
Take her for a slow stroll along the boardwalk......if it isn't too hot.
Dining at the Lighthouse might be better for suppertime if it's too hot out.
As others said, the golf cart ride........or a car ride to the open houses.
We did it in our car.......and that was November. This is summertime.
Share with her whatever brings you pleasure. Simple things are best.
She will have a great visit, for sure. Let her relax after the airport.
Enjoy your friend's company......

Sunset Park is in the middle of the Morse Ave bridge, just before Lake Sumter. Golf cart accessible only.(No cars) Nice place to watch the sunset.

Lots of good suggestions already, not sure about spending hours and hours golfing. A golfer can see the quality. Town squares at 5pm ;-) House viewing is good, but you might want to get a good, laid-back Villages broker. (I have suggestions on that, not me) Good luck, prices are creeping up.

It's not a hard job. The place sells itself.

Show them the 3:00 p.m. happy hour signs. That will convince them!

When I came to look around my brother-in-law and his wife really tried to show me everything. We went out to eat 3 times a day st different restaurants and clubs, we went to a couple of pools, to both squares, to the movies. By the time my 4-day visit was up I was completely smitten.

Remember to get her a guest pass. I usually give them the Rec News and ask if they see something they want to check out. Don't forget to give her a taste of the usual, everyday, type of places and errands, such as the grocery store, shopping areas, maybe even the furniture places, just to give her a feel for prices, selection, etc. I'm sure it will all be a little different from what she is used to in NY.

I'm from NYC and love livin' the lifestyle here in The Villages. When guests visit here are several of the things that they seem to enjoy:
A tour of the Rec Centers.
Evenings at Lake Sumter or Spanish Springs
A meal at The Lighthouse
Lunch at the Country Clubs
Pool time
Shopping at the discount shops
Open houses
