I have a Brother DCP 7020 Laser printer. I just purchased a new drum for the printer as the old one was at the end of its life. However, I keep getting the message "change drum soon" and it shows 0% of ink in the drum. I think the drum is seated correctly because I am able to print. I also shook the drum prior to installing it as you're supposed to do with a laser cartridge. Can't quite figure out was is wrong as I think I did everything correctly. The only thing I can figure is I was sold an empty or near empty drum at Staples.

Just thought I would throw this out.

Brother website:

The error message "Change Drum Soon" will continue to appear if the drum counter was not reset when you replace the drum unit with a new one.
To clear this error message, you need to reset the drum counter as instructed below.

I still receive the error message "Change Drum Soon" after I : Brother (http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us_ot/en/faq/faq/000000/002800/000037/faq002837_009.html?reg=us&c=us_ot&lang=en&prod=dcp7020_us)

Thank you. I checked the brother website but didn't see that solution. It worked. This place is really amazing.
