I'm looking for a Medicare advantage or supplemental plan which covers all medical fees.
I've been told that the AARP Plan F, offered through United Health Care, is this type of plan and the literature claims there are absolutely no out-of-pocket costs for anything after payment of the monthly premium. My residence of record is in New York, where the single person premium is now approximately $175 per month.
Anyone have this plan or another which provides full benefits?

You would also have to include your Medicare premium which is deducted from your social security.. This is now $99. Your payment would be $274 per person. We have Advantage program Preferred Care Partners. Don't have that $99 deducted and don't pay the $175. Each month we set the money aside we WOULD have paid for a supplement. The money is really building up. Also, Preferred Care Partners is accepted at the Villages Health Centers. If ever in Sumter Landing it is a good idea to talk to the PCP people--near AAA.

Lila and I have AARP plan F through United Healthcare, and have been very happy with it. My father had the same coverage before he died and as his caregiver/guardian I saw firsthand how comprehensive this coverage was. If you are in relatively good health, and have expectations of low medical utilization, there may be cheaper, more appropriate plans available. However, if you are like us, and don't want to have to worry about a catastrophic medical expense that may be only minimally covered, AARP plan F is pretty worry free. One caveat, like most supplements, this plan covers only medical expenses COVERED by Medicare. If Medicare won't pay, neither will the supplement, so you must be sure that the procedure is covered and the provider participates in Medicare. Incidentally, all carriers Plan F should provide identical coverage, but the AARP plan is reliable and competitive in price.

Medicare plus AARP supplement is very comprehensive in it's coverage.
We have had it for 12 years and have not reached in our pocket to date.....several surgeries including breast cancer and post treatments.
Does not include any dental or hearing aids....but not many do.

You can't go wrong with Plan F. Like eweissenbach I saw how comprehensive this was with my mother. She was hospitalized a lot and never paid a dime. My husband and I just signed up with Capital Blue Cross for Plan F. I have seen enough people who were in great physical shape with no problems suddenly have major issues as they aged. For us it is worth the peace of mind it gives us. It's a personal choice. Good luck deciding.

As a licensed Agent in Fl. All of the previous post are very good. No plans pays for everything but plan F is almost worry free. The new Part b of Medicare is now 104.90 for 2013. All post were very good advise.

I have this plan, but as a FL resident; it's my understanding that the plans are issued by state, and that not every plan is available in every state. Without any intention to whine, I deal with several serious health issues, care for some being where the best care is available (not in FL), and this plan has indeed covered absolutely every bill I've incurred (with only one exception; see below).
As another poster pointed out, however, if Medicare doesn't cover it, then this plan won't either. I've had this happen only once in many years, but I was aware of it in advance, so it was no surprise.
It makes life simple that there are no claim forms or any other paperwork to deal with, with a Medicare supplement plan. Once Medicare processes a claim, it automatically kicks it over to the supplement plan, which then picks up and pays deductibles, copays, and so forth.
One other thing to keep in mind is that Medicare supplement providers contract with the federal government to offer these plans, the point being that United HealthCare's Plan F is IDENTICAL in coverage to, say, Mutual of Omaha's Plan F and any other carrier's Plan F. The ONLY difference is the cost of the monthly premium. In other words, it's a no-brainer to take the Plan F for your state that charges the lowest monthly premium. For me in FL it is the AARP United HealthCare Plan F.
As far as Medicare Advantage plans are concerned, keep in mind that they are local HMO plans. If a subscriber must seek care in an area other than where the plan is based, then one is "out of network," and this can be pretty costly. So this is not a good plan for anyone who is not essentially in one place 24/7/365, that is, not good for snowbirds.
Hope this helps.

I have a good insurance agent. Her name is Rosemarie 347-6780.
She represents United HealthCare and Preferred Care Partners. She explains Medicare Simply and will show you different options. She will also come to your home. hch
