Located on 466 with wedgewood lane behind it, is a vacant building which looks like it was a fast food establishment at one time. It had a drive thru and front patio area. It's next to the BBT bank and gas station. Just curious if any one knew what was there. Thanks.

I am pretty sure that was the old dairy queen. Was there in 2005 but closed around 2007 along with another dairy queen over by the old Albertsons.

I was wondering the same thing and never thought to go on here for the answer. But now I'm really sad because a DQ was here and gone :cryin2:Skip 2

Both Dairy Queens were in good locations and after the first few months neither did well. They tried bringing in outside entertainment but that didn't work and they closed.

About a year ago we were eating at Chilis and I just happen to ask the waiter that same question about the 466 location. He said that it was a DQ and he actually worked there. I said I couldn't believe they closed because I stop at the one on I-75 at least once a month and at Florida Mall at least once a month. He said they had a lot of young kids working and not very good management, the owner was not on site or local. I think he said it was open about a year and a half.

thanks a lot everyone. That's another thing to add to my "wish" list. A Blizzard!

I satisfy my blizzard fix at stake and shake between 2-4 weekdays. $1.88 shakes with 10 different flavor combinations.

We did check out Steak and Shake the other day and was very pleased with the burger and shake. Will definately haveto check out their blizzard style shake next.

It's too bad that a fast food store can't make it on 466 almost across the street from a high school.....seems like a perfect location.

Burger King is directly accross the street from the High School. The Dairy Queen was over a half mile from the high school.

That would be a big Negative Ghost Rider.... The DQ was also across the street maybe at most 1 block south of the High School. In front of the Publix Plaza.

Burger King also is not doing the best. I know alot of people that do not go to BK anymore due to service. We use to go there after the High School Football Games, but stopped. You could be the only one in line after a game and still sit there 20-30 min in line at he drive window.
