We are new to the Villages and are looking for an Internist, Dentist and Veterinarian. We would appreciate both good recommendations and to know of Drs. you would NOT recommend. We are not opposed to going to Ocala, Leesburg or another fairly close by city for good doctors.
Thank you for your help.

Dentist: Dr. Lesh at Southern Trace Dental on Wedgewood lane next to Publix. No bull, no pushy procedures.
Doc: in TV: I use Dr. Shaktawat on Wedgewood lane in the Dana Building. Nice as can be and knows his stuff. Also does his own rounds at the hospital.
Vet: I don't have any pets.

Internist/Primary Care Physician (PCP): Dr. Martinez-Cruz (as recommended by others and myself in other threads); located in the Dana Medical Building on Wedgewood Drive, behind and across Wedgewood from Bonefish Grill on CR-466, office phone 352-750-6650. He had been an instructor at Harvard Medical School and had served as a staff physician at Massachusetts General Hospital; now in his own practice.
Veterinarian: Dr. Ross Valdez at Park Heights Veterinary, located on Hwy 441 South in Fruitland Park, just after one of the Phillips car dealerships and just before Walmart, all on the same (south) side of the road. Came highly recommended by another vet (friend). Great staff too! Phone 352-326-9116.
Dentist is not taking new patients, sorry.

I like my PCP but can never see him in an emergency...is there anyone here that will see you when you get ill without going to urgent care. I am tired of having a PCP who will only see me two weeks out and I always have to go to urgent care.
