Just for giggles as we sit here and see all the rain and cloudy days, we started to ask, just how much sunshine does "The Sunshine State" get?
Now we know that Florida's rainy season is summer compared to some other states in spring, etc.
But, the link here puts some creadance on the question...IS Forida a sunshine state or advertising? I am sure there are more sites for comparisons, but just thought starters. Don't get us wrong, we love the weather and warmth.

I came from Phoenix AZ to here. Phoenix gets 296 days of sunshine as opposed to 266 days in FL. But I have to say that you do get tired of sunny days after a while. You look forward to a cloudy day and some rain.

Agreed - when we lived in the desert southwest we were thrilled to see a cloudy day and rain really made us rejoice! I love the cloudy, rainy days in Florida, but I was born in Cleveland Ohio so that is where I am coming from.

Ditto here, moved from Tucson, AZ...we love to see cloudy days and rain. In AZ, they get so much sun, they don't need to save any with Daylight savings!

I am from New Mexico which is like North Africa or Australia for sunny days. I get a kick out of Florida calling itself the sunshine state. PR!
