Today is my baby brother's 61st birthday. When he was young, he was sure all the celebrations were for him....:D

Happy Birthday, David!

Thanks Pooh.

And to everyone - a FUN, safe and healthy holiday.

Let's remember our troops wherever they are!

Pooh, thank you for posting that clip, and Happy Birthday to your brother.

Today the Statue of Liberty reopened in NYC, after months of repair work after Liberty Island was damaged during Hurricane Sandy last year -- yeah for that!

237 years ago, 56 delegates to the Continental Congress signed the Declaration of Independence. In doing so, they probably put their lives on the line because if the U.S. had lost the Revolutionary War, the signers of the Declaration of Independence probably would have been hanged for treason.

And remember the troops serving our country both here and overseas, especially the members of the NATO Afghanistan Transformation Task Force; one of those fine members is the husband of a friend of mine.

There is no country I would rather live in than the USA.

Thoroughly enjoyed the "IN GOD WE TRUST" article in today's paper. Emphasis on how our country's principles were formed with God in the forefront. Too bad our country has forgotten that - but, it is still without a doubt the best place to live.

God Bless America :pepper2:
