I believe SECO is the sole provider South of 466A. You will need to call them to set up your account before closing. All those type of items are covered in the closing material provided by The Villages.

Duke Energy of North Carolina (formerly Progress Energy of Florida) provides service to the Lake County portion of TV and some parts of Sumter County. SECO services the remainder of Sumter County. Your salesperson should be able to tell you which company serves your new home and give you a number to call before closing.
There is no choosing companies in TV like you have in some other parts of the country.

About 3 or 4 weeks before closing you'll receive a packet of info from TV. One page contains all the various utilities, cable, electric and etc with their phone numbers and what you'll need to do.
