Big Cypress Rec Center

In recent V-mail, I learned that this Rec Center is for Pinallas, Collier and Hillsborough. Hillsborough is on the other side of Buena Vista. Am surprised that three villages would be using this facility. Is the developer cutting down on building new rec centers? I understand we can use any centers but for Hillsborough to consider Big Cypress as their family rec seems a stretch.

When is Big Cypress Rec Center scheduled to open? I saw the tour of it on The Villages web site, and would like to see it when I return to The Villages in October. Big Cypress looks so far along that I would think it would be opening in the next month or so.

Looking at the map it appears Big Cypress is associated with Pinellas and Collier. Manatee Rec. Center is planned for Hillsborough and Dunedin? neighborhoods. It will be located on Hillsborough RD. east of the Hillsborough pool & mail boxes.

I was thinking the same thing ... cutting down on the number of rec centers. Then I went and counted the rec centers on an estimated per capita basis. It seems to me that the ratios are about the same.
