While I am still from away (as they say here in Maine, but soon to be a full timer), I wonder what people think about the amount of commercial construction starting to happen? I went on to the new page on thevillages.com and was looking at the different areas of commercial construction. Is there a sense of frustration with fulltime Villagers? or are people looking forward to more?

Larry,

We need all the commercial construction we can get. Particularly restaurants. The wait at most places in the winter season is an hour :yikes:

The more choices the better!!! Everything keeps getting more convenient.

As a fulltimer we always find places to go that aren't as crowded. We also eat and travel about in the "non-peak" times.

Now if we could just get another Post Office...that would be nice.

New construction is good. Companies realizing what a great area to put in some major stores. Now if we can talk them into a Costco, it would be great!

Construction is good. I agree that a Costco would be nice........and a real Post Office in SUMTER LANDING would be wonderful.. and .... keep the restaurants coming, especially a Cheese Cake Factory.

A CHEESE CAKE FACTORY??????????????? How the heck do you expect me to keep my Charles Atlas physique with that kind of stuff around? :yikes:
