Since, Chax3 will be hosting the October party I would like to reciprocate and have the monthly Singles Get-Together for September. I realize this notice is a little early and kind of putting the cart before the horse - since Cha is throwing her party in honor of my arrival - but November and December are out for me and I have always intended to give one, since Kitty volunteered our first singles party on the "FOR SINGLES ONLY" thread.
"Little Italy" will be the dinner theme and dinner will be provided for a minimal donation - this for the benefit of the guys who pale at the idea of having to bring anything other than what can be purchased in bag.
In addition to dinner we will play various parlor games - Pictionary, Family Feud, The Match Game etc. Which should be a lot of fun and a great way to meet and greet new people. But, not to worry, participation will not be mandatory. You may opt for sitting on the side lines, laughing at everyone else.
I will send more info as we get closer, but, please mark your calendars so I won't feel like it did back in High School, when you'd throw a party and no one came.

Thanks, Cha. But I really feel like I know so many people already and it's a great group. Besides these more intimate parties have obviously made it easier to meet and connect with other singles. Kitty was really the brave one. She got the ball rolling, by opening her home to complete strangers on a leap of faith. Way to go! Kitty.

Do men come to these parties?
Yes, these get-togethers are for both men and women. But, it is simply a way for single people to meet, inasmuch as they have a similar life situation, that is in the minority at the Villages. It is not meant to be a dating site.

Since I am arriving Sept. 1, it will be a great way for me to meet new people and hopefully some new friendships. I am one of those shallow guys who would rather donate than cause food poisoning, so it's perfect for me. Will the details be forthcoming in an open post?

Hi, All
I'll be arriving myself on September 7th. I'll send out an open invitation post with more information on the party then. But, in the meantime, anyone interested in coming will just need to send me a private message and I'll send my address and number. That will also help with the RSVP's, since I'll need to know how many are coming to make sure all bellies are full before the strenuous games.
