long term rental

Does someone know how long a rental period needs to be considered long term in regards to the florida rental taxes? Three months long enough, six? PLEASE only resond if you know the answer. I don't want opinions, only facts bases on practical knowledge. I am considering a long term rental rather than buying. I don't want to be one of those who moves multiple times once they get there. lol
We should arrive sometime in August just in time for the best heat!
