Dang! Surveillance cameras really do add ten pounds! I'm going on a diet...right after the cook-out.
And thank goodness for that cleansing rain shower I drove through during my get-away

You would think a reasonably competent thief would opt for a speedier getaway vehicle?

I wonder if anyone in TV knows these people. The morning Sun said the Lady Lake police recognized the couple when they were called to an address in the 800 block of Silver Oak Drive. I looked that up and it is in Orange Blossom. The paper said the police arrested the woman but not the man. I won't print their names, but they are in the morning paper. I was wondering if they are homeowners, renters, staying with others, or what?

They are thiefs..........what difference does it make if they are homeowners, renters, staying with others?

I don't remember their names being mentioned in the paper. How do you know them?

Since your world ends at your driveway, why would my question be revelant to you? Some of us might find it meaningful if other villagers bring crime into our community.

You're right Zcaveman, their names were not given, just that they lived in the 800 block of Silver Oak Dr. Since there were photos of the couple and a description of their golf cart and there address turns out to be within TV's, I wondered why no one came forward sooner. The article gives the impression the police sort of stumbled onto the couple when they were called to the address.
That's why I was curious about the couples' status. Was there a disturbance going on that required the police, were they squatters in an empty home, or staying with others or even homeowners. I think we all have a right to know what other villagers are doing when it comes to bringing crime into our villages.

Thanks for the link to the 'Daily Commercial', that's the first I've heard of that newspaper. Turns out they did have a disturbance at the property which prompted the police, not the smartest crooks. Also, I see the woman was only 37 years old.

you're welcome, john w. i like the daily commercial for the lady lake and south coverage since my snowbird nest is on the historic side. and it prints stuff that the daily sun doesn't or prints it before the sun does! ;)

Sorry I know this is a serious issue. But I got a chuckle when reading the story , that they made their getaway in a dirty ,dusty golf cart . We're these like stupid criminals or what?

What difference does it make Owners renters or visitors of a thief is a thief! I'll bet they had a good cook out though
