Recently purchased in St Charles and will be snowbirds for a year or two. As a homeowner in Sumter county but not legal resident, will we be able to use the library system?

I believe you only need to be a taxpayer. That could change now that the operation of the library is outsourced.

I don't know if it is still applicable but if you showed a Villages ID (permanent or temporary), you were good to go. The only proviso was that you had to be staying for more than 30 days.

why don't you just find out directly from the library? i think that they would know for sure.

As tax payer you can use the library. Why not?

I am a full time renter in The Villages and have never been denied access to the library...
