Are there any nurseries or places close by that carry a wide selection of garden statues, such as large turtles, frogs, etc.

Not sure where you buy them? Could ask my neighbor--3 foot bronze/brown Bunny in front flower bed. :grumpy: Thinking it is against deed restrictions in most neighborhoods. I am not gonna report--I have my own name plaque (on the ground in front )that is probably "unacceptable" also---

Im really not a rule follower--but I will ask her for you!

Fairfield Farm Landscaping on 301 has a large selection of statues and fountains. Including frogs.

You wouldn't rather prefer a Kim Kardasian statue?

Village Palms has gorgeous turtles made out of cement. they also have a catalogue from the same source and i am sure that they could special order something and add it to their next delivery.
Village Palms is located on CR 466 just before Rolling Acres Rd. And they are closed on Sunday. Ask for Jeff, Linda, Gina, or Carl.

We bought a statue of a heron about 4' tall for the negotiated price of $100 from Florida Fountain and Lawn Ornaments (http://www.floridafountainandstatuary.com/) a couple of months ago. They are on US 441 on the rightside just past the Harley Davidson dealer of Leesburg.

Here's a link to their site Florida Fountain and Lawn Ornaments (http://www.floridafountainandstatuary.com/)

We first went to Fairfield Farms on Hwy 301 Oxford, but found the prices were pretty high. Florida Fountain is run by a semi-retired couple for the past 11 years and they live on the premises. They sell nothing but statues, some painted and some not. The husband makes the statues himself and the wife runs the yard doing the selling.

Here's an example of one of their nicest works, a bald eagle painted for $200. It's even more impressive in person.

Think those statue "police" are no longer around.
Go through Gilchrist and look at all the "stuff" in their
front yards.

There's a technicality in Community watch program, they do not police anything.

They only investigate and require changes based on your neighbors complaints.

:police:

If they don't complain, U can do basically anything.

Make sure the vendor has a return policy; if your neighbor reports you and it's against deed restrictions, it's gone.

I do not see myself complaining about my neighbor's statues
Unless it was something really crazy!

I knew you couldn't have stuff in the front but is the rear restricted also? I was hoping to try sculptures in retirement and would want to be able to work on my pieces on a back patio. Also I have done water kinetic pieces in the past would they be prohibited? Fountains are allowed right?

If there is another craft show coming to The Villages soon, they had plenty of choices. There was about four booths that sold different lawn ornaments. I'm talking about the show that was at Sumter Landing.
