Epoxy for the Garage Floor

There's plenty of advice on the Internet about applying epoxy to a garage floor. Does anyone have any practical experience actually doing it? Does it stand up to repeated use? I've painted garage floors with porch and floor enamel but it's never lasted for more than two years. Is this a project better left to a pro?

I have not done it here, but I did at our home in upstate NY. I did it wrong. I did not follow the instructions and took shortcuts. It started to peel in about two months. Next time, I follow the directions.
