With the current restrictions on lawn watering, everyone should at least go out and observe there sprinkler heads when the water is on. There is an awful lot of water going down the sewer (at your expense) from heads aimed incorrectly or malfunctioning...some just leak water down the driveway. If you can't correct the problem yourself, you should ask for help (neighbors or professional).

:agree: Couldn't agree with you more. After about 3 years the seals in the larger sprinkler heads start to leak and they leak gallons. A one dollar seal from Florida Irragation could save you a whole lot of money.

Ace hardware sells new seals for Hunter "gear driven" heads. Considering you must dig up the leaking head...I just buy a new Orbit replacement head, about $10 at Lowe's, and get it overwith with one 'dig'

That's the nice thing about the $1 seals from Florida Irrigation. You don't have to dig up the gear driven sprinkler. Just unscrew the cap, pull out the head, pop off the cap and install the two seals. If you are careful and watch the position of the head when you remove it, you don't have to do any readjusting.
