I am considering purchasing a new home and was told by a MLS agent that folks having homes built in and around Brownwood may, on certain days (depending on the wind direction) have strong odors from a land fill/transfer station. Anyone with some insight? Thanks

My understanding is the landfill is for construction material only. And yes, when they burn it there is definitely smoke and an odor depending on which way the wind is blowing. Depending on how long construction goes on will determine how long this would remain an issue.

hafta ask myself if it was me - is there any guarantee that the landfill would always be for construction material and shut down when no longer needed - and how long that might be...or could it become....?
