Has anyone had their brown colored birdcage frame change colors? Did you do anything to fix it and if so, what?

It is on the North and East sides of the house. Noticed last year after low pressure wash was done on house. Just near areas where screwed together. They didn't spray the birdcage, but mist flies around. They low pressure washed again this year and it is worse. Not only near the screws, but the bronze strips of metal up near the roof. So when they would have been spraying the soffitt or upper part of the house they couldn't avoid getting the bronze metal wet. I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and who they hired to fix the problem?

What did they use to wash it with besides water? Could be if some sort of cleaner was used it might have affected the metal coloring. A long time Florida resident told me he justs uses a garden hose to clean the lanai, screens and all. I took his advice.

When T&D did our birdcage they mentioned don't use any chlorine based cleaners, which some house cleaners may on vinyl siding.

I believe they used bleach. They didn't wash the birdcage itself, but the water spray hits it anyway. I told them about what happened last year because I didn't want even more discoloration this year when they came to wash. They assured me they have been doing it for years and don't use anything that will damage anything (including pets and plants). After being reassured and after they finished there is even more discoloration.
