Can't believe it! I found a little bit of Philly, New York and New Jersey right here in Lady Lake off 441! It's called "CHI's Grill[in the Belk shopping (La Plaza Grande center). Great Cheesesteaks as well as great Hero's and salads as well...even serve breakfast. What a treat, and the best part are the prices.

My special treat at Chi's is their cheesburger. The best I've ever had. Their french fries are so good, I don't order french fries any more at any other restaurants.

Very reasonably priced and the nicest staff.

There is a small diner/restaurant in Lady Lake on 27/441 which also makes great cheese steak sandwiches.

Brooklyn Water Bagels is great. Even if their water doesn't really come from Brooklyn.

I tried the steak sub at Chi's last year twice, I always like to give a place two chances. In Baltimore we had tremendous steak subs, I would put them up against Philly anytime. So I was excited when I found Chi's. The taste isn't bad, but the sandwich is served on wax paper. Take the paper and turn it sideways, you'll have enough grease to fill a glass. Not very appetizing. Maybe this year you've gotten better. If you're into steak subs, give them a chance, I did.

I found the best steak subs around are at Charley's. It a chain and they have a few within an hour's drive of TV. Oaks Mall in Gainesville, Paddock Mall in Ocala, Florida Mall in Orlando and Sawgrass in Westley Chapel all have a Charley's.

Ditto on Chi's being a nice little restaurant which serves a good Philly Cheesesteak. They also have good tuna salad.

I agree about Brooklyn Water Bagels -- best bagels I have ever had. Wish they would open stores in the Chicago area. I will be back in October to get some more of their yummy bagels.
