The Colony Sports Pool is in very poor condition. It is the worst pool we have been to. Anyone know why they are not taking care of it? The pool is dirty, the area by the stairs is awful, and the showers are worse. All the other pools we have been to (many) are in much better condition. Just wondering why this one is being neglected. Thanks.

It's not being neglected & is regularly cleaned. Read the notice upon entry and you'll see the next scheduled routine pool cleaning. This pool is also the busiest pool in TV due to being 1 of the closest sports pools available for those who reside south of 466a.
If you have issues with any of the pools, contact the recreation dept. Keep in mind that the staff at Colony are not the custodians.
The only thing I've seen at this pool is from people tracking "stuff" in with street shoes. The water is ALWAYS clear.
I've been using this facility for 4 years and am happy with it. Also I've not heard anyone else complain.

glad to see, in today's Daily Sun, that they are upgrading the showers and changing rooms at La Hacienda - a nice pool, but like going back to the fifties!

Have never been to that pool, but I trust F16's assessment. He teaches there. I thought the other day that Colony rec center smelled musty inside. Anyone else think that? Why would that be? Air conditioning is on all the time.
That facility has taken a lot of visits with the rapid growth of the area south of 466a.

Add Pimlico to the dirty list..I know it is very heavily used by guests and the restrooms are used by the golfers at the three courses there but every time I've been there it was just nasty.

Have you brought this to the attention of anyone.........other than posting on TOTV?

I was just reflecting our experience. First time there but at many other pools in the short time we have been here. Sorry if I stated it too strongly. It is what it is. Take a look by the stairs to the pool and in the mens locker room. Not the same as the others. Yes I reported it. Did not mean to offend anyone - I tend to be a bit on the direct (blunt) side.... Sorry.
Also, do not understand the staff sentence. Did not see any staff at the pool. We will try it again.

St. James pool was like that also, especially around the steps. There was a notice at the gate stating it would be closed for repairs but haven't been back in the last few weeks.
