The plot thickens. I do not recall on July 23, most recently, our major news channels mentioning what the Washington Post printed.

Latest is that Interpol has now issued a global alert after Alkaida/al qaida linked prison breaks.

The alert was issued after “a series of prison escapes across nine INTERPOL member countries in the past month alone, including in Iraq, Libya and Pakistan.” INTERPOL highlighted the “suspected Al Qaeda involvement in several of the breakouts,” which “led to the escape of hundreds of terrorists and other criminals.”

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), an al Qaeda affiliate, claimed responsibility for an assault on two Iraqi prisons in late July. According to the Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/al-qaeda-branch-in-iraq-claims-jailbreak/2013/07/23/8b09a3f4-f3a5-11e2-aa2e-4088616498b4_story.html), “U.S. officials put the number of escapees at between 500 and 600, including a significant number of al Qaeda operatives.”
Days later, the Pakistani Taliban led an assault on a prison in Dera Islmail Khan. Nearly 250 prisoners were reportedly freed, including dozens of hardened terrorists. As Bill Roggio pointed out (http://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2013/07/pakistani_taliban_as_2.php), the assault was likely led by “Ansar al Aseer, a joint unit created by” the Pakistani Taliban and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU).

Our media on that day was preoccupied. Ten days earlier a certain trial had ended and nothing much was seen on the media about killing in Syria, Egypt, Libya or any warnings. Priorities !!!

Actually, the pres was shown on the news this morning saying how alkaeda had moved on, etc., etc., etc. and dispersed..........when in actuality they seem to be growing stronger............

I still think they lied to the American people about what really happened last September 11 in Bengazi with our ambassador Stevens. Immediately after it happened, I read numerous Arabic newspapers and it was shocking, to say the least , what occurred to the ambassador and how he really met his death.

That is something I didn't read that he was harmed awfully. I can only imagine that they tortured him or used his body as a terrible trophy. I haven't been able to really figure the whole thing out but it feels like something really bad has been blatantly hushed. I am NOT usually a person who sees a conspiracy, but this one feels very wrong.

What IS going on in this world???? Why don't you hear the straight truth on American channels? Good idea to watch BBB.

Immediately after it happened, I read numerous Arabic newspapers and it was shocking, to say the least , what occurred to the ambassador and how he really met his death.

Senior Citizen, I am being cryptic again, I checked out the incident on the internet within hours of the news breaking here. I saw via foreign tv news what REALLY happened. Imagine my disbelief and shock when the "official" version here, was death by smoke inhalation while our ambassador was in the "safe room". yeah, RIGHT.

Senior Citizen. How sad for our County, and my heart aches for our Ambassador's family. As you suspected, I'd leaned the same details at the time of the horrible event. I imagine this thread will be closed now -- sigh. PS. I elected to become a US Citizen 40 years ago, earned the right to vote, use it, and was so impressed with the liberties we had..... sigh

don't forget that in addition to the barbarism there are those that will not rise against the barbarism for fear of retribution or offending someone.

Only a politician would or could understand how it is possible to offend barbarism....that is the main cause of the continued distoted/managed information and lies about Bengazzi.

When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor one of the Japanese generals was quoted as saying we have awakend the sleeping giant. The Chinese in the past have used the term paper tiger for America.

What today's terrorists and barbarians know is the giant is more the paper tiger with no teeth or bark or bite....our politics have unfortunately gravitated to the position of knowing or making the excuses or the allowances for the transgressions against America and it's people. Until that changes it can and will only get worse.
