Can anyone advise on airlines that fly from Buffalo NY to somewhere near TV? It is cheaper for Canadians to get to Buffalo and fly than to fly from Toronto. I just need to know what airlines fly out Buffalo to Orlando or Tampa or somewhere close to TV. Thanks for any input.

Delta, Jet Blue, AirTran/Southwest and US Air fly between Buffalo and Orlando. If you come into Orlando (MCO) you can schedule a pickup with The Villages Airport Van 352.241.2000. https://www.villageairportvan.com/

(You could check to see if Jacksonville prices are any cheaper - but it is a 2.5 hour drive from TV)

My husband's family lives near the Canadian border and must drive south to Syracus to fly. They fly into Orlando from Syracus
and back home to Northern New York using Jet Blue and they love the airlines.

Starting sept 26 you should use Allegient Airlines ..non stop to SANFORD (not orlando) fares as low as $67 one way but you pay alot of extra. This is a decent airline.

Jet Blue and Southwest offer at least one non-stop flight per day. I have flown both and had great experiences. USAirways and Delta do not, I believe, offer any non-stop flights to Orlando. Jet Blue does not charge for the first bag and Southwest allows 2 bags without a fee.

I have flown it from Newburgh, New York to Orlando without any problems. They have had issues at other airports in the past being kept on the ground for hours prior to allowing them to go to a gate, I think this has happened in the winter months. Other airlines have experienced the same problem though, good luck.

Allegiant will be flying out of Niagara Falls. Keep in mind that it will only have one flight on the days it is scheduled. It does not have daily flights, usually one or two days a week. It sometimes offers daily flights during the holidays. I have family who use it quite often to fly into Elmira, NY.

Expedia lists these flights. I hope this link works.... If you need more help, just PM me, I'll be happy to assist you guys with more specifics. I've only listed non-stops because I hate going up and down. There's more flights if you don't mind one stop.

Yes we have flown Allegient to Scranton Pa, Allentown Pa, Roanoke Va and just scheduled a flight into Lansing Mi for later this year. Sanford is very easy to get in and out of, Much shorter security lines, no tolls to and from the Villages and Parking is approx $10 per day.

I just came back from Buffalo nonstop on Air Tran. They are owned by Southwest so you have to check in there. Get there a couple of hours early because the line at Southwest is very long, no unbelievably long.

We're from Buffalo and living in the villages. We always flew South West as it was direct. Jet Blue is nice too. Do yourself a favor and order up the shuttle from airport to the villages. It's so much nicer than driving yourself. I think it's $35 each. We always order up the van service when company comes down.

The only airline which flies into Orlando-Sanford from Buffalo (actually Niagara Falls), is Allegiant. It's a non-stop inexpensive flight, if you are really careful with the extra fee stuff. Sanford is ok because its a little airport, so there is no hassle getting in or out. However there are no regular shuttles or other transports from there to TV. Of course you can rent a car if it suits you. There are taxi companies in TV which will take you either way to Sanford, by prior arrangement, for about $50 each way.

I saw on the link I posted previously for The Village Airport Van that they now service Sanford. I assume that means the airport.

I read that it was a nice airport. Easy in and out. Small but very nice. I don't know anyone whose used it so I appreciate your comments. It is good to know. Thanks so much.

Our son flies Southwest all the time out of Denver. He recommended it.
We flew Southwest from Albany, New York to Orlando in just three hours.
Direct flight. Very efficiently run airline. No meals at all. Tight seats.
However, we were fortunate in that I paid a bit extra for the "Senior Pass" and we were FIRST IN LINE to board.......since there are no seating assignments (like in the old days when we would get our seat numbers ahead), simply by being first in line to board, we got to sit in the front of the plane with the most leg room and no one in front of us........but it was still tight. They squeeze them in like sardines. The rest rooms are itty bitty. They now can squeeze more passengers on the plane, but they've given up comfort. We used to fly U.S. Air every year, or Eastern Airlines, American Airlines and always had meals and plenty of space as far as seating and bathrooms. Times have changed. But, they didn't lose our luggage and were on time and a direct flight..........where years ago we had to stop in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh and then take a second plane to Florida.
