Just watched it, thanks for the headups. Is their a website that I can find to get on a launch alert email or something of that nature?

I must have just missed seeing it in the sky. What did you actually get to see?

Not too much to see, but still, did see the bright light heading towards the heavens...the rocket is the top bight light over the clouds on the left. Smaller bright light below is??? , probably a reflection....or an alien craft following....:D

Saw the Delta IV launch great from our other home in Melbourne tonight. Beautiful, clear sky. Heard the rumbling and the windows shook. Could see the 4 solid rocket motors as they fell back to Earth.

Thanks guys. A photo and a good description. Nice. How far is Melbourne from Merritt Island? Fourteen or 15 miles?

Did not know about the launch, but was sitting in my driveway relaxing ( faces east ) after closing on our new home tonight. Saw this and was trying to figure out what it was. Was just about to post on the UFO thread until I saw this one.

Depends on where you are going. Only a couple miles to the southern tip of Merritt Island, but from "downtown" to "downtown" probably about 20.
