Don't get too excited about a mall, districts are residential, not commercial. Looks like they are talking about the area already under construction east of Buena Vista, and the north half of the open area west of powell.

The area east of Brownwood at Torch drive, just south of 44A is Unit 966 Antrim Dells. All houses 175 plus of them,,

Wasn't that the planned site of the hospital that was cancelled?

as I read it, the discussion is about adding 100 acres, which they already own, to cdd 10, zzzzzzzzz

A public hearing is planned in The Villages on Wednesday for a request by the developer to add nearly 100 additional acres to Villages Community Development District 10 in Wildwood.
About half of the land is at the southeast corner of the intersection of Buena Vista Boulevard and County Road 44A, extending south to State Road 44. The other half is on the southwest corner of the intersection of County Road 44A and Powell Road, just west of Brownwood Paddock Square.I agree, looneycat. This is a snoozer.

My take is that when the original development plans were created by TV, and approved by Wildwood and Sumter County, these two parcels were planned to be commercial. Now TV wants them to be residential and add them to CDD 10. TV must take specific steps to make this change and one of those steps is a public hearing.

The utilities are already in, in a layout that looks like it will be a bungalow villa section similar to Haciendas at Mission Hills. I'm betting that they will have the first part ready to sell when the snowbirds arrive in January.

So, when does everyone think they will "finish" the building of the Villages?

attending the meeting will only provide factual info - not good enough for providing rumors.

This wannabee would love to know that information also. I have heard and read so many dates from the first quarter of 2015 to some date in infinity.
