I have a friend (who bought a home in TV yesterday after a 24 hour visit). The home was for sale by owner. She needs a Closing Agent. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

If the home was for sale by owner, the owner should have contacted Julie Gagich from McLin Bursted in Lake Sumter Landing. Julie has a package with all the steps, the breakdown of costs, etc, They will handle the contract, title, closing, proration of utilities, etc. Either party can just drop by the office since the greeters at the doors have access to the packages. Good luck to your friend. It's a very easy process and runs very smoothly.

Yes, at least all the local banks and major national mortgage lenders. So maybe not all, but most.

If the owner of the property is out of state how should the new buyer proceed. Does she need to get an attorney or would a closing agent be enough and approx how much does it cost to close if it's a cash deal. Thanks

When we sold our home in Hadley we used Mclin Burnsed. Flawless. Our friends just bought the home next door to us here and used them and it went off without a hitch. No mortage on the second one but buyers had mortgage on the first one.
When we sold two years ago the whole deal cost $750.

McLin Bursted will handle everything for out of state owners, too. They just FedEx the forms back and forth. This will only add a few extra days. They have an attorney that makes up the contract. The attorney fees are included, so you don't need a separate attorney.
