I am looking at a property in the village of Pennecamp. Can you please share your thoughts about the good and perhaps not so desirable traits of Pennecamp, i.e.: location, golf courses, length of golf cart ride to LSV / shopping, community centers, activities, etc?
If you live in Pennecamp would you move there again, If yes why, if no why not.
Thanks in advance for sharing your honest thoughts.

Pennecamp is a new-er village; couple, three years old and has a mixture of all kinds of homes, patio and courtyard villas, cottages, designers and premiers. One of the premiers on the lake sold for well over a million dollars a couple of years ago. It is on the western side of TV not too far from 466A but north of it. It has a lot of wonderful folks who post on here living near or in it. The closest grocery at the moment is at Colony Plaza but the new Sweetbay may be nearer. I'd guess that is a little closer to Sumter Landing than Brownwood for entertainment. At this time 466 and 441/26 has the biggest amount of commercial properties and retail along their corridors but within a few years I am pretty sure that 466A and 44 will catch up or maybe even at some time have more.

Every villager will tell you that their village is the best. If it takes a little longer to get to the grocery, it is a lovely ride in your car or golf cart.

I own a CYV in Pennecamp and consider this village the center of the universe (Villages Universe) :) As Gracie stated, Pennecamp is approximately 3-4 years old a short golf cart ride to anywhere. We have many pools and rec centers close by, no less than 10 Exec golf courses within a 2 mile radius, along with Cane Garden CC around the corner.

LSL approx. 3-4 miles away, Brownwood approx. 6 miles, SS approx. 9 miles away. Would I buy in Pennecamp again -- absolutely :)

We moved into Pennecamp 2 years ago and at that time, thought it would have been nice to be alittle closer to Sumter Landing. However, Brownwood has opened, along with many recreation centers south our us, so our Pennecamp location seems to be perfect. As a matter of fact, Brownwood has become our favorite venue for entertainment so things worked out great.

There is no doubt that you too will enjoy our neighborhood. Do it - you won't be sorry!!

We've Been in Pennecamp for over 3 years and moved in when there was very little out here. I love how close Lake Sumter, Colony and Brownwood are. I take my golf cart everywhere and can get most places within 12 to 20 minutes depending on how far I am going. We love Pennecamp Village and have many great friends here.

our home in pennecamp is 3 years old last june it is 9 minutes by cart to LSL so to grocery its not that far...20 minutes to brownwood..it was just opening when we left in october so have not spent that much time there... but its quiet, close to many courses but what village isn't..our two pool within a short walk...because we are on the end its quiet...but minutes away from everything...when we look for our next home it will not be far from here..everyone thinks their villages it the best... so you will not find many who dishes a village...but we have stayed in three areas before we bought, and this was a central location for us.
