I purchased a pre-owned home last year & i am getting a bill every two months for spraying the shrubs. Is it necessary to spray them every two months. My previous home in north carolina never got sprayed unless there was a problem. I need expert advice. My landscaper told me to have the lawn sprayed twice a year so i am following his advice because the lawn looks good.

I have service to spray my lawn, and I take care of the shrubs. Me taking care of the shrubs consists of me trimming them now and then. I've never sprayed anything in the more than 3 years we've lived here.

Thanks for your reply. I felt that this was too much spraying. I will stop the service.

Some of the spraying is preventative. Once you notice a problem, it may be too late to save the plant.

What are they spraying for? What are they spraying with?

Suppose to be spraying to prevent bugs, i guess. They are the same company that the previous owner had been using. I just continued the service, but now i have more time to start reviewing everything outside & i think it is time to discontinue this service. I am not satisfied with the shrubby & i have someone coming next week to help me trim & redo some of the landscape.

Pest control companies are required by law to inform you what chemicals they are using. If you had some sort of reaction to what they are spraying, the Poison Control Center would have a difficult time helping you since you do not know what has been applied.
