My visit related to an allergic skin condition. Dr. P. spent the first 15 minutes showing a clip from the movie "Something's Gotta Give" because he liked the scene that related to Viagra and a discussion of his experience at the Public Health Service. Next he spent 5 minutes looking at me and sending a prescription to my pharmacy. For the next 20 minutes it was back to talking about himself and his experience and a discussion of the patient who he had seen just before me. All I could do was wonder when this would end. Finally I attempted to interrupt his monologue to tell him that I thought I also had swollen glands in my neck. He cut me off in mid sentence and said, "At this point your appointment has ended. If you have any other problems, you can make another appointment to see me." I was stunned and told him so. He then said, "If you don't like it, you can find another doctor." And so I will and I strongly recommend that you do too. This man is arrogant, self-centered, and totally inappropriate in the way he treated me.
This was not my first visit with Dr. Paiano but it was definitely my last. I have had problems with his dismissive attitude before but this was the last straw. He is also extremely rude to his staff. I don't know why they tolerate it. He can seem very nice in the beginning but quickly turns from Dr. Paiano to Mr. Hyde.
