Is anyone interested in having discussions on this subject!
We have a recent newbee among us who just moved here. She knows a lot on this subject and has published several articles in various magazines and would like to maybe start a discussion group.
If anyone is interested respond and lets see what happens.
Below is a sample of her information !

Inflammation from the sun is a cause of wrinkles and sagging skin, but it can also occur within the body and is present in many of today's lifestyle diseases. For those of us who commit to a longer healthier lifestyle, we will learn, share and follow each other as we gain an understanding of why whole food choices, blood type, and food combinations are important as we age. Doing so, does not mean we need to give up anything, but we do need to understand the impact that eating for our blood type has along with the importance of food combining for nutrient absorption, to prevent toxins during digestion. Understanding the above, and following the design of our body to digest whole foods, gives us the best chance for a healthier, longer life with hopefully less pain as we age.

Yes, I'm interested. I think having good skin requires eating a natural diet of whole foods, except grain-fed beef. I think one should eat mostly fresh fruit, non-starchy vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. Hey, what do you know, it's the same diet one would need for general health, well being and longevity. :)

Thank you for your reply. I'm surprised not more people interested, however the information can be presented in many ways. Would you be interested in an audio presentation or a video of her speaking to groups. Her intention is to gather people of like mind for get together' s.

Your question made me laugh. :1rotfl:

I've learned that if person stays healthy their skin will likely be healthy too. But I suppose there can be exceptions. Too much sunbathing or other harsh exposure to the elements can cancel-out eating a healthy diet.

I would say that my skin is reasonably healthy. How about you?

Some of the worst things for a person's health are also the worst things for their skin. For example: Smoking, excess alcohol, drugs, too much saturated fat, sugar, and all fast foods in general.

A few years ago I read a good book by Nicholas Perricone, MD. (He's a dermtologist.) The book is titled: The Perricone Promise: Look Younger, Live Longer in Three Easy Steps. I found that it's basically same as the diet I had been eating all along. He puts a lot of emphasis on avoiding inflammation and he says that diet is the primary cause. Avoid harmful foods, stress, anxiety etc.. I don't agree with his diet completely but I got the general idea of what it takes to have healthy skin.
