Beware of Shutter & Blind Company

This company has terrible customer service. They do not deliver on time and make excuses. They use the advertisements that Ocala Sentinel has them as one of the best around town. I beg to differ. If I do not hear back from someone with a refund or the goods....I am reporting them to the BBB.

Owner will not give out a direct number to contact him. He hides behind his employees and doesn't deliver what the promise. We are going on 3 months and still no window treatments.

I was burned by them as well - they are not reputable and do very shoddy work.

Complaining to the BBB is a good first step and can be done online going to their web site at Check Out a Business or Charity - Central Florida BBB (http://centralflorida.bbb.org/Find-Business-Reviews/).

You should also register a complaint with the Florida Division of Consumer Services at their web site:

Lastly, and to get immediate assistance, go to any office of Seniors Vs Crime here is The Villages and register a complaint. They have three offices: one in the Marion County Sheriffs Office on Mulberry Lane in The Villages (352- 753-7775), one in the Sumter County Sheriff's Office at Morse & CR 466 in The Villages (352-689-4600, Ext. 4606), and one in the Wildwood Police Department Annex in Brownwood in The Villages next to The Barnstorm Theater (352-750-1914).

Someone claiming another "has not done anything illegal" is expressing a legal opinion and conclusion. I'm simply questioning the validity and/or wisdom of making such a pronouncement without proper credentials.

It might be wise to check with the BBB before you do business with any company you are going to use.
