Orlando River Adventure Aboard the Sternwheeler Barbara-Lee (http://www.stjohnsrivershipco.com)
Just came back from a 3 hr lunch cruise on the Barbara Lee out of Sanford, Fl. Delightful, relaxing cruise on Lake Monroe. Lunch was served and there was live entertainment. The food was very good and plentiful. Very enjoyable day trip. Takes about 2 hrs to get to Sanford from The Villages. Give it a try.

Thanks for sharing. It looks like a really nice trip. I looked at the menu and the food sounds good too. How was the scenery? Were there many people on board? Do people dance and wander around the decks looking at the steamboat and the views for the 3 hours? Is it air-conditioned? LOL Lots of questions, but I thought I'd take advantage of your knowledge. Thank you.

It is air conditioned. It can seat about 180 but it wasn't full. You can walk out on the deck and see the scenery. The tour is narrated. There is a small dance floor and people were dancing. There was a male vocalist who sang and played the popular tunes like Jimmy Buffet. We really enjoyed it and will probably go again.

I'm going to go too, if the good Lord's willing. It looks like something I'd love. The narrated tour makes it even better. Thank you so much.
